Antellus is a private independent publisher of fiction and nonfiction books on a variety of subjects with emphasis on science fiction, fantasy, vampire fiction, mythology, philosophy, critical thought, history, historical fiction and adventure. From time to time we may publish children's books and graphic novels, poetry and experimental prose. The quality of the books we produce is on a par or very close to those of "traditional" publishing houses. Antellus has the continuing mission to educate and intellectually stimulate as well as entertain. Visit our pages to get the details. We can be contacted by email at info@antellus.com. All questions not answered on this page can be directed there.

The name Antellus was configured from a series of words and bears no resemblence whatsoever to the fabled founder of Altamura, Italy; which links its birth to the mythical disembarkation of the escaping Trojans who landed on the Adriatic coast. The population was supposed to be commanded by a friend of Aeneas called "Antellus", who was thought to have founded the city and given the start to a new civilisation. While this fable is remarkably coincidental to the origin of the Antellan called "Xaran", there was no previous knowledge of this until it was just discovered recently. While we enjoy the distinction we recognize the significance of the coincidence in the common meme.
